Wheel coverage for comps?

I plan to use my Sierra in smaller comps like the Bong Bong challange, Willowglen, toperi blahh blahh blahh..... Nothing to big. It will be in the open class because of tyre size and diff locks. Now I have spent the last few days reading through the CCDA4x4 and the tuff truck rules and can not for the life of me find the "guidelines" for this class. Now I know Tuff truck is a little different and mine will never make it there but they are the only comp that actually gives exact specs.
(COPY FROM TT11 RULES)
Coverage over wheels – 28 / 07 / 2010 – Front – All vehicles will have front guards attached to the body either parallel in width to the B pillar (min) or to the inside edge of the tyre tread. These are to be constructed from a minimum of 25 mm steel tube and covered of rigid material for vehicles that have completely removed original gaurds. Rear Guards will be assessed on application but are not compulsory.

But when I read through the CCDAfwd rules there is no ruling on wheel coverage. There is for the other classes but not for open class.
open class rules are 4.5. The only ruling I can find is in the all classes tyres section 6.1.7.
http://www.ccda4wd.com.au/images/CCDAFW ... ion9.0.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

On the toperi web site the rules have nothing about wheel covers.
http://www.canobolas4wd.com/index.php?o ... &Itemid=23" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Can some one in the know shed some light on this for me. Someone that has been to these events and knows.

I think that in years past, Willowglen asked for flares, I think something along the lines of what you would run on the road.

Id have a search through the comps section, and look for people there to PM and find out for sure.

I would have thought that if there is no rule then there is no rule..... ie you don't have to run them.....

there is no hard and fast rule.
each comp is pretty much different.
rego or unrego comp seems to make a difference.

Toperi, tuff truck say some attempt of wheel arch is accepatble of there abouts.

Willowglen want the top of the tyre covered to the sidewall so as mentioned straight edge off sidewall must touch flare, No real rule on how far down the flare must go though.
There is something in CCDA but I would look at Challange class as that would cover it
