Gulf western oil

Hi all? has anyone used gulf western 85/140 LSD diff oil & what did there think of it. I know of the other brands also but G/western came up in a convo at the table Today

Wouldnt touch it if you payed me...after working on heavy machinery for 15yrs, Gulf Western, Valvoine are farken shit , if you want a good LSD oil castrol is the best..
You pay for what you get with oils...

I wouldn't either. I use Fuchs, but there are plenty of other reputable brands around.

you're both nuts. Gulf western is as good as any other oils. They are all made to the same standard. Go or a synthetic if you want something more lasting under severe conditions.

Gulf Western keep the engine shop near us booked out rebuilding motors farked from sludging up.

ive heard this from someone else actually who had to rebuild an LS1 statesman due to sludge buildup from using gulf western oil.

its amazing iv used it a few times in my mrs car and it hasnt blown up yet.... honestly mate most engines will run with it fine unless its a high performance high boost massive hp ect ect i wouldnt stress....
also someone said valvoline is shit i beg to differ im an ex mechanic now truck driver i work for a company that deals in large industrial diesel generators im talking v16 cummins twin turbo engines with a 1250kva alternator hanging off the back even down to small 3cyl kubota gensets and we use valvoline classic blue 15w40 in all our diesel equipment (our fleet is just over 150 gensets, 4 trucks and 6 diesel utes) and we have never had an issue in nearly 20 years
