Hi all,

The time has come to replace the drag link tie rod ends... Done some thinking... Can I change these to rose joints giving me less restriction? And will they be road legal? Just a thought?

Cheers for any info!

Steve

Yes you can change to rod ends if you want to do the work, it depends on if you have 22 or 30mm threads and you will have to make all new rods, as well as machine out the knuckles/ pitman arm, my opinion to it is dont bother.
As far as street legal , No.

4140 comp spec is 30mm and the 20MNV6 hollow bar is 22mm.
My opinion is dont bother , although its not that hard to do it with rod ends , we would just manufacture them to suit the rod ends and drillout the knuckles to suit, but if a rod end fails and you crash the car you will be liable and may end up on the wrong end of the jail door :bad-words: , at least with a standard tie rod end it is a OME part.
You will get more angle out of a misaligned rod end there is no doubt their.
