hi there.

i just found out about this forum today, and i read only good things about it.
my name is lars. me and my girlfriend live and work in melbourne since december last year. originally we are from germany.
because we want to go around australia, we bought a car.
its a 1989 toyota landcruiser troop carrier FJ75RV. i know its stupid, but we bought it without a rwc...we inspected the car and everything looked good in our eyes and the previous owner told us there shouldnt be much to do for a rwc. he did the last one in october last year.
now the troopy didnt pass the rwc and we are afraid that we cant pay the things to get it done...
so my question is:
does anyone know a mechanic in melbourne who could help us to get the rwc?
or could help us to get it fixed as cheap as possible?
we love this car, but we dont have that much money at the moment...
we are happy for any advice!!!

kind regards lars&maria

maybe a little list of the issues the vehicle has would help. some things are relatively easy to sort out yourself. however, there are not too many reputable mechanics out there who are willing to put their signature to a dodgy roadworthy these days. if you kill someone cause the car is crap, they can be in deep doo-doo! you may get some help fixing it through this forum if people know what you require.
cheers scott.
