Hi All,
I've got a 88 NF V6.
I went to rotate the tyres on the weekend and discivered a significant wobble in the front driver side wheel. I traced it back to the upper contol arm - somthing is either broken or very bady worn. Are these arms serviceable (ie bushes) or are they relaced as an entire unit? Any tips to removing and replacing?
If I have to replace do I go for a later model arm or do I need to do the lower ams as well?

Also I was going to do the bearings while I'm at it. Any tricks to know or speacial tools required?
Thanks for your help

Please PM me if you've got a spare UCA lying around. thanks

Are you sure that the bolts that hold the arm on aren't loose?

Yep, pretty sure.
There are 32mm nuts either side which I tried to undo - no way. I checked the mounting bolds (the two 17mm bolts inside the engine bay) and they were secure.
The movement is where the rear of the arm ariuculates against the mount/centre/fixed part. sorry don't know how to describe it better

Genuine, you have to buy the whole arm. About $250 for one side and $300 for the other. There are some aftermarket nylon bushes, however some use the original cup from the original bush and some dont. Nolathane replace the whole bush. Depending which way you go i would keep the original cups incase you need them later down the track. I replaced mine with Nolathane bushes and threw the old one in the bin. They only lasted 6 months and i went with another brand which needed the original bush cup. Had to get second hand arms and was a pain in the arse and costly. I would recommend the Mackay brand which use the OE cup.
