best way to polish stainless steel

just wondering if any one knows what would be the best way to polish stainless steel at home?
gotta do all the external bits for my 69 XT wagon

a product called autosol, a couple of old flannel shirts and a heap of elbow grease

There's also a product called Zephyr available from truck shops and some hot rod type suppliers...

Used to have some, it was great stuff.

Another one called Purple Polish, a bit pricey but works really well.

x2 purple polish is a truckies best friend...second to none imo

x2 Autosol have found it to be pretty good

I used to sell both AUTOSOL and PURPLE POLISH to detailers around sydney and eventhough PURPLE POLISH is a bit more expensive, the detailers prefered it.

If the parts are still as received finish (satin) then a good buffing wheel on a LARGE motor is the only way to go.
Plenty of buffing soap and a lot of mess.

I've used Maguires polish on my mags, came up great and lasted a fair while. Heard alot of noise about autosol being too harsh on other forums. And heard heaps rave on about Purple polish but I couldn't find it when I was doing it, so used maguires.
