Yaz, I am putting a 4.2 diesel into a 3lt patrol this weekend, I will have to change the engine mounts on the chasis & will be selling the 3 lt engine, gear box & diffs. Will also be selling a 97 ST 4.2 EFI on petrol/gas. It was going to be an extra cab build that never happened. You can have the mounts for free just the postage. If interested in the other stuff let me know. The 97 patrol I will ask around $5,800 that will include a permit to drive it ome

auto to manual is pretty easy converision. you need flywheel, clutch, clutch pedal, master cylinder, slave cylinder and the clutch line from the master to the slave. you can either cut a hole in the auto plate for the gear shift or swap it for the manual on. the only thing that has to be done with the wiring is the reverse swith and bridge the nuetral start switch.

you can do the conversion in a day if you have everything.

a friend of mine is about to sell his 3ltr patrol that has a 5 inch lift, 35's, vl turbo and manifold, and front mount intercooler. very tidy truck and i think he wants about 12g for it.

there is quite alot of work involved in swaping a 4.2 to a 3tlr. better off buying a 3ltr to start with. the 3ltr won't bolt to the 4.2 box and the 3ltr bellhousing won't bolt to it either as they are different boxes. you would have to get something custom made to fit it all together unless you can buy an adapter kit then it would be worth while doing that if you are going to turbo the 3ltr.

hope that helps, lozz
