I run Yukon 4.88 in the front and nitro in the back. Neither have broken and both seem really great.
Had the front for 3 years and back in for 6 months

Depends on the standard ratio that the centre came out with.
4.88 factory centre has a thicker crownwheel because the pinion is smaller.
And just a bit of info, you cannot put 4.88 aftermarket gear set into a factory 4.88 carrier.. It won't fit (as I found out) only OEM gears will fit.

There's a guy on Ebay selling the Nitro gear sets for Hilux's for $380 free postage.

Bloody good price for the gear sets!!
