no spark

Have just replaced head on a 13a motor in my zook but now the bloody thing wont start have pulled out spark plug to see if theres any spark and guess what nothing,have tested leads all ok. there is also 12v at the coil, all I did was replace the head. Any ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hook the ground that goes from the dizzy back to the fire wall back up. :D


Have you checked to see if you have power at the coil? Do you hace spark coming out of the coil? Have you checked your ground from the coil? Have you forgotten to put the dizzy button back in?

Just a few things to start with.

If I remember correctly, I think you had a spark problem with your 1.3 a few years ago VW dave.

What was your fix again???

That's right replace the WHOLE engine.

That's right replace the WHOLE engine.
Ummm no actually I replaced/ rebuilt my engine and couldn't get it started. Not the other way around.
At first I had the cam 180 out.
Then I found I had no spark to find the old owner had installed a turbo timer that was wired through the power wire for the coil.
It took me about 2 weeks to find the problem.







I can't get enough of these attempt to put me down.
