Radiator for 1uzfe to lux

Hey guys, has anyone done it or think it would be the go if i ran a 75 series 4 row radiator for my 1uzfe conversion? It is the same width as the standard one but a bit taller which measures up like it would fit because i have 2'' cab lift. 4 row seems like overkill but if it keeps them old diesels cool surely an alloy v8 would be fine.
Cheers

I had one in my 4Runner with a 1uz and it was great in the bush and on-road but it still ran hot on the beach, but I would point it into the wind and it would cool down pretty quickly. I was running a 3000cfm 16" electric fan if that helps at all

mine is a custom unit and it works well. but russels surf with a 1uz and his standard surf radiator with the same electric fan runs the exact temps mine does. regularly sits on or just below 180.f and can climb when working it hard.

x2 pretty much how mine old lex v8 4runner performed with a standard V6 4runner radiator but with a 2" taller core height (room available from the bodylift). If i had my time over again, I'd just spend the extra $ and go alloy.

Do you guys run seperate oil coolers? They sound like a hard engine to keep cool.

I've got a supra alloy radiator in mine with EL thermo fans and it never got hot. Thermos on flogging it on the softest of sand the highest I could get it to was 96 degrees. I couldn't stand having to baby it on the beach in fear of overheating.

I'd imagine that in a big engine bay that the heat can escape from they'd be pretty easy to cool, but the bloody things just about fill the entire Bay
And I did have a big oil cooler on it early on and it made very little difference

That was another thing i was thinking about is an oil cooler. And also a fairly wide opening bonnet scoop directly over the motor to push air over the back and down past the motor. Most weekend wheeling for me is sand so cooling is a high prioty. I'm not to keen on alloy as i've seen way to many crack from vibration and warping. I want to keep with copper. What effect would running a cooler thermostat have with a standad radiator? Maybe that could work?
