HI, I just put a calmini 2.5 lift kit in my XL7 and now i want bigger tyres does anyone know what size i can go up to.

If you remove your mud flaps and trim away some plastic inside the wheel arch you can fit 245/75/16. They will rub slightly on the front on full lock but that can be adjusted out with steering stops.

I run 245/70 R16's on my GV and they rub on full lock on the chassis and the rears rub on the mud flaps when compressed.
Just remember the bigger you go the more it will affect the gearing... mine is ok a bit doie in 5th gear up hills but other then that ok.

I run 225/75/16 and they measure the same diaas your 245/70/16. Just not as wide. They just touch the chasis on full lock under compression. The next tyres i will be getting will be 245/75/16.

I used to run 255/70 R16 but like built has said a 31" is it without masses of cutting
