What do I have to do to my TD42 before I install a turbo?
Do I have to change injectors or anything like that?

nope both turbo and non turbo injectors are the same recommended that you get a boost compensator but it just depends on your budget.. but get the injectors reco'd to make sure there atomizing properly.. other then that bolt a turbo on

I agree, boost compensator is about the next best thing after an intercooler.

Still amazing to see the amount of workshops that scratch their head at the sight of them, then proceed to tune off the fuel screw anyway.

Do I use boost compensator instead of an intercooler or should I use both.

Both if u have the dollars. But neither is a necessaty.
