I have heard of a few people that have modded their rear calipers to fit 15 inch rims. I beleive that it is as simple as grinding a bit off the rear caliper body. Who's doen it, and what are the opinions.

Coming from a good mate that used to work a very well known Outer Sydney based 4wd store/mod shop, you have to grind approx. 3mm off the caliper to make them fit. Now, if you have to grind 3mm off, how much meat can there be left?? i have never done it. Just bought the 16" wheels and tires. it costs more, but then i know that i havent attacked the brakes with a grinder

And there wouldn't be much room between wheel and caliper and I'd reckon mud and crap would build up and potentially wreck things. Go the 16 inch option.

Gday
I have it on good authority that Navara offset white 15x8 rims fit with minimum grinding. Otherwise, early model rear disc brakes fit straight on where the late ones are...u need the lot from backing plate forward.

with 2" spacers you don't need to grind anything off at all ;)
