Aftermarket air filter

I have a UNi filter in my zd30 gu..... I have since read that this is not a good mod to have, what are peoples thoughts and experiences ?

I have a k&n in mine for everyday around town driving. for long dusty trips I'd got with a factory one.

Got a Unifilter, with the H/Duty addition and the prefilter snorkle sock unit - works for me , and the 2.5 T/d Bravo
