How much is that gunna cost?

Check out LRA tanks, Opp Lock sell them. They will make a 150 if the 190 is too big. Havent had a hassle with my 150 over the last 8 years.

I haven't got a picture, but mine is a Brown Davis and is a coffin shaped belly tank that sits between the tail shaft and the exhaust system and is about 1m long x 0.5x0.5m and holds 70 litres. It's the same as a Lone Ranger tank. I'd be supprised if you could get one made for as cheap as a second hand one unless the materials and labor are free.
Cheers,
Glen.

Thanks Guy's,

But perhaps I should have given you a little background information.

I'm based in the UK, and together with a few like minded individuals are preparing to do a Trans Africa trip (London - Cape Town). We decided to use Landcruisers over Land Rovers because of the bigger capacity and general all round ruggedness compared to Landies. This has left us with one problem though - No one in the UK know's stuff all about LC's since LR are still seen as the king of off road, but being a South African I know only too well that LC's are by far the best!

So if any of you know where I can lay my hands on 2nd hand LR tank (2nd hand get me around the import duty in the UK) that would be great?

STIKA: Where did your's come from?

Sixty: Do Opp. Lock have a website?

Thanks Again

A wrecking yard

I bought it one day put the car in for a new exhaust the next the new exhaust had a flater muffeler than the standard barrel shape now it wont fit.

On long trips i have a 60 litre boat outboard motor tank with a fuel pump that has snap fittings 30 seconds it in and out . however you have to be carefull refueling and i wouldnt recoment this method for petrol vehicles.

boeppens - yeah, mate they do.

www.oppositelock.com

Or if you're after secondhand try a 4wd wreckers, like Gympie 4wd or similar. Yep, they also have a website.
