Thinkign about putting a 12ht into an 80 series petrol auto

would the change over be hard?what parts would be needed?

Emissions will be an issue. the 12ht will have to comply with your year of 80 series. I'm not sure how it goes with diesel conversions either, as making a diesel comply with petrol standards is just impossible

Unless you already have the 12ht i'd suggest you look at a 1hd-fte or 1vd-fte conversion. much better power and economy, and not much more money involved.
