Opposite Lock Challenge Toowoomba Round 2, 2nd & 3rd July

Post by Kirby »

Opposite Lock Challenge Round 2 , 2nd and 3rd of July at Janowen Hills 4WD Park. Round 1 was good, we want to make this one even better.
The Comp is for your everyday 4x4 and comp cars so anyone can enter. You dont need a roll cage or a winch. Have a go in a Prado for example.
There are 4 Classes , Standard IFS, Standard Solid Axle, Locked and Modified.
IFS is IFS suspension with no lockers and up to and inc 33 inch tyres.
Solid Axle is the same .
Locked is for vehicles with Lockers and up to and inc 35 inch tyres.
Modified is Pretty much anything up to and including 35 inch tyres.
We set up tracks with cones and as you drive past the cones you get points, you loose points for reverseing and touching cones etc. Theres 6 tracks for the week end. Its not timed so its not a race, we dont want vehicle damage its about having fun and learning more skills.
All you need is a Navi, Helments, Gloves , Recovery Points Front and Rear and you need your Extended 3rd Party Insurance.
$60 Entry Fee and Normal Park Entry Fees Apply. BYO Food and Drink or the Park put on Breakfast , Lunch and Dinner. Its great Food at Great Prices.
If you want a entry form or the rules let me know and i can email or fax.
Theres prizes and Trophies for winners and 2nd place getters.

Hi Jeff, if you run the 33s and disconect the locker you could run in standard class but i think these tracks would be to easy for you. Run the 35s and the locker and go in Modified. These tracks are a bit harder. If your keen and arent worried about maybe damaged you could run in Locked Modified if you want.

This will give you an idea of the tracks for modified class , the idea is not to touch the cones at all. Kirby.

I thought the tracks were a bit easy last time , so we will make them a little bit harder..The track we didnt do last time cause it rained is a good one. We will definately do it this time.

Hi Madshort, the tyre size is restricted because the comp is designed for the everyday guy in is daily driver to get out and have a go. Our standrad class even has a IFS class for stock hiluxs and tritons etc. The locked class is for your weekend warrior with 35s and lockers to have a go. Theres other comps out there catering for the bigger trucks. We wanted to do a comp for the average guy on a average wage. Cheers Kirby.
