looking at buying a feroza mk 2 hard top but the missus wants a convertable. can the hard top be removed and replaced with an original soft top? and is it possible to still get soft tops at a reasonable price?

They occasionally come up on Fleabay. I think there is a bit of hardware difference, IIRC. The hardtop is a bit of a PITA to remove and put back on if you're doing it regularly.

They are 10O% compatible, you could order the softop and or hardtop when new.
The softop comes with a metal frame that holds it all up.

Second hand softops that have been exposed to the weather tend to shrink and the windows yellow so be aware if buying second hand
Sometime people have both and have never used the softop so they can be worth looking at if carefull.

Even if you replace the top with aftermarket, you'll still need the frame.

As Aj says the hardtop is surprisingly heavy..... as are most plastic hardtops, so its not a Feroza thing.
