Hey, I have had my GQ patrol for over 3 years now and my circumstances have changed and i have to get rid of some toys.
I dont know much about navaras, well actually i know virtually nothing about them. I have seen the D22 and the D40, are they different year models or just different spec vehicles?
I dont even know what engines are best or when they were released with what vehicle, does anyone know of any websites that can fill me full of info or post some ideas up on here.
I have found this one online and it looks ok
http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/pri ... 7449D066E1
Which one of the motors is the better one, i have seen both the 3.0L and 2.5L, is one electronic and one mechanical injection??
Any info on the good and bad points and advice to which model i should try and look at would be appreciated.
My budget is around about $30,000 too.
Thanks
nibbsy

the zd30 the 3 litre is the older engine out of the d22 the stop making them in 06 and then the 2.5 common rail came into play u can pick up a new d22 for $31 000 the d40 don't know when they came in but they also have the 2.5 common rail same engine and box just different clutch i think ? but for the d40 the price goes up and up haha for me i would go the d22 commonrail just for value for money

Go to http://www.navara.asia/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; this is a navara specific forum listing D21,D22 &D40 sections. The D40 has a 6 speed manual and is a lot more roomy inside than the D22. Not to many, if any, parts are interchangable between D22 & D40 .

yeah i have had a look, i am starting to lean towards a holden colorado now.
The D22 is a bit "industrial" on the inside so to speak. Not real luxurious :)
