Hi just wondering if anyone has done or knows of someone that has done a 1uz conversion in a hilux and put a high steer kit in it. I have a Locktup kit (2inch springs, extended shackles 2 inch body lift and high steer) but looking at it, my new steer setup is going to hit the sum. It's a front sump. I can get a CRS rear sump but am worried it will cause other troubles.

Swap your front sump setup for a rear sump and only a small cut and shut of the sump for the diff pumpkin on full up travel and all will be sweet

i have a 1uz in my lux that sits low, with high steer and a 60 series diff, i am using a soarer rear sump and just had to cut it a little (less than a quarter) to clear the diff pumpkin on up travel, steering clears fine.

woodbutcher (russel) is using my car as his information for the above post.

feel free to check my build thread for pictures

1uz
CRS rear sump
High steer
Motor sits as low as possible in engine bay
No steering clearance issues

You will run into clearance issues with Power steering pump to the steering box before steering arms to sump.
