can any body help me plz. i have a 1996 3l ln106 dual cab and all of a sudden the a/c stop wroking all together (no air comming out at all. checked all the fuses under the bonnet and the kick panel and all is fine but there is one problem! Cant find and fuses or relays the say blower fan or a/c or anything alike
Re: a/c not working in my ln106 hilux
the relay and fuse are located on the left pillar behind the glove box/speaker cover and check the resistor located up under the blower fan box has a 4 pin plug going to it.

Re: a/c not working in my ln106 hilux
just to clarify, air con not working or blower fan not working?
with the car running when you turn on the ac watch the compressor and see if the center of the pulley engages and spins. this will tell you if the ac is 'working'.
But I think you mean the blower fan is not working.
As dents says the blower fan is in the passenger side behind the dash - easily accessible. the hilux drops the fan switch resistor regularly when you pull it out it out you will see why, it will be a filament that is so old its just collapsed and when it goes it takes out the other wires in the resistor.
my bet is on that being the cause.
they came out with two versions for the ln 106 - from my toyota they were fairly pricey if i recall over $100. The early one has the exposed elements the later one is inside a ceramic or similar case. the later one will not fit into the early ones fan box. but all i did was fit the later one to the wiring harness and let it hang about, i then fitted the old one back into the fan box to fill the hole - worked perfectly and lasted for years. cost a few dollars second hand.

Re: a/c not working in my ln106 hilux
Going by the description i'd say fan resistor or relay. My fan resistor went a few years ago (However mine only worked on full speed) and got a replacement for $45 http://shop.allfourx4.com.au/epages/sho ... 7138-35020
Re: a/c not working in my ln106 hilux
