Search was not my friend.
I'm looking at ways to improve the touring range of my SWB Paj

and am wondering about the shape and mounting location of the 39 litre tank which comes with late model Patrol wagons - is it something I might be able to adapt under the floor?
Any help will be appreciated.
Cheers,
Scott

Because mine is a shorty the only replacement tank I can find only gets me an extra 30 litres. I can have it customised to suit the 50mm body lift, which will get about another 15 litres - for a fraction over $1000 installed (extra because they have to play with panel sizes before the CAM system cuts them out.)
I can find a 48l auxiliary tank to go under the floor on the passenger's side; $900 plus $300 fitting, uses a pump to transfer contents to main tank, requires switch and gauge in the cab.
A 39 litre Patrol tank should be significantly cheaper than either, and not too far short on capacity. If it is a convenient shape it could be relatively easy to mount. I figured if I don't ask I'll never know.
Cheers,
Scott
