is there any thing wrong with the 5l surf motors as there is car for sale 4 to 2500 the hole car

No such animal in a Surf from factory.
3 litre Surf engine is a 1KZ-TE (same as Playdo) not a 5L.

3ltr or 3LT ? could be a 3l (2.8) conversion
