Anyone used these or know of a mate using them. Be interested to know how they go, look to be somewhere between an AT & MT

Thanks
Johno

i run them and have a mate run they are a great tyre. the only complain we have is they arnt too great in sloppy mud apart from that they have outperformed the old pattern Mtr's i had before hand

Mate are they better than most other ATs in the mud, they look to be a half way between a MT and AT. What sort of price did you get them for?

Just can't make up my mind between the Duratrac & the BFG KM2 MT.

I don't get out doing the hard stuff like you young blokes, but still manage to land in the shit enough in the red clay mud in north eastern Victoria

the duratraks are closer to a mt as they are a 80 off road 20 on road tyre... i got mine fairly cheap as i know a guy at beaurepaires up here in qld but even without knowing him they are around the $300 mark i believe (dont take my word though they may have gone up) , i know the bfg are quite a bit dearer personally i recomend them and i know alot of guys do but the added cost of the bfg over the dura is the killer.

with what you are saying about the clay type mud i believe the dura's would still suit u fantastic however if i had the $$ i would buy the bfg's

Cheers

p.s this is only my opinion so maybe try in the general forum there should be a old thread on the bfg's i believe

I'm also running the duratrac's and think they are a great all round tire, so much quieter than the new mtr's. If you buy the tires thru a beaurepaires tire store you can get tire insurance which covers flat tires through to destroying the tire completely. it is definately worth it.

I agree with rallydave. I fnd that the duratracs are indeed quieter. I can honestly say you can't go wrong with that choice. As zero's info/comment about the $300 mark up, you might find this useful: http://www.beaurepaires.com.au/dotCMS/T ... ebsite=BFT" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . It gives you quotations for the tyres you're interested in.

Hope that helps!
