GU glow plugs

Just wanted to know what the differance is between nissan glow plugs and bosch glow plugs other than the price ? any help would be tops.
According to the local Patrol guru, NGK plugs are made in Japan and last much longer. Bosch (at least the Bosch plugs sold here) are made under license and are usually of Chinese origin.
I (and by expension said guru) may be full of it.
