hey all
old man has a 75 series troopie. and we think the u bolts over time have come a little loose and its worn the hole that the spring centre bolts locates into into a more oval shape than round and its now starting to float around and we cannot get it to stay in place. how hard would it be to basically fill the hole and just redrill. and with this is the bolt hole directly centre or is it offset at all either way?
this seems the cheapest way as most of the wreckers that we have rang want over 400 bucks just for a case. this to me seems a dead set ripoff.
so im open to ideas or if somebody has a case they no longer want that is straight im keen to hear from you.
cheers all

Hey Mate

Do you mean the leaf pack center bolt has worn through ya spring perch hole and made the hole bigger?

If so you could look at getting a new perch ($50) it would require cutting old one off and welding new one in but that may be a difficult long way around.

On my 75 the hold is centered not offset.

Just get a bit of plate same size as perch drill hole in center and weld underneath. You can drill hole offset if you want too move diff forward a little.
