Limit straps. Legal? Nsw

Very much an engineers question, but its a weekend and engineers wont be happy being rung on a weekend. 
Project: Lwb sierra, custom links and coil+shocks all round.
Are Limit straps legal/engineerable for on road use?
Im trying to get a semi-adjustable setup.
Softcore: Low for onroad use, longish distance driving, Daily Driving.
OR
Hardcore: Wack some lifted springs in, adjust the strap and panhard, away you go to Rope road.
My shocks are long enough to keep the same top position for many different combo's so they are not the worry.
Please halp!
