80 series auto to manual conversion

hey guys ive got a 92 model 80 series GXL automatic 1HD-T powered. im looking to covert it to manual because i tow my hilux regulary and the auto just aint cuttin it even with a modded valve body. i was wondering if anyone knows weither my transfer will bolt up to a manual, its got a part time kit so i wanna try keep mine with out stripping 2 cases if i can help it. also are the driveshafts the same length etc???. of if anyone has done this conversion them selfs?, any info is greatly appreciated.

ok your transfer will bolt up fine to a manual box you will have to change your rear shaft but the front shaft will be ok but i think the gear box X member is in the wrong place you will have to check also the 1hz and 1hd-t boxes are different in the gear ratio

how come you wont have to change the front shaft as well? the whole transfer moves forward due to the shorter gearbox

yes transfer is the same and can be reused

cross member needs to be moved forward

gearbox ratios are different on a couple of the gears but does not really matter
the main thing is that you fit the correct clutch if you get an NA diesel box you will need a custom clutch with a fine spline to match the input shaft

thanks guys for the info. ill be chasing a 1hd-t box just to cover my arse just in case there a any differances. i should be able to run a exedy safari tuff clutch then.
