60 pto winch

can any body tell me if toyota had a factory pto whinch rang around toyota dealers plus 4x4 places ,they had no idea,i have one. some off it looks like a thomas ,will try to post photos.

many import 60's have them.

Mine has fwd and rev in the pto box and the drum is a lot narrower than a thomas.

It stands for Power Take Off.
It's a way of running equipment off the engine or engine/transmission combination. Tractors use them to run grass cutters and other things, and they are often on trucks to run things like hydraulic pumps for cement mixers.

agree that toyota pto's have a skinnier drum. I know on mine its a thomas (stated on the side of the winch) and it fills out between the chassis rails heaps more than factory pto winch.
post up pics and it should be a bit easier to tell.

this is a pic of my PTO i use pto to drive a hydro pump for my winch in my hilux
not all gearboxes and transfers have this option
i had to get the gears from a 75 series transfer
