Get a tune up dude, i get 550k's from 3/4 of a tank. You should be able to get at least 450 from a full rank with a petrol. A mate of mine gets 16/100 after he tuned his.

90 litre tank - should be good for 400/500 kms if lucky...

300 is a tad TOO MUCH FUEL

Tuneup would be good..

I'm probably asking a stupid question...but what the heck....

What is done on diesel engine tune-ups? I know gas engines are being tuned up...

does it only include the valve adjustments for the diesel engine?

Can anybody recommend a good 4.2 petrol mechanic in Melb?

Hey guys.. I'm with 'sneaky'...

Mines an 89 GQ Auto, with a 90+litre tank, and I only get 350 - 450k's max out of a tank.

Although I will add that installing a snorkel and the manual lock up controller has helped a bit. Still yet to own an economical car, so I thought it was normal, until now.

Have a 1995 Petrol/LPG , 95 litre original was removed for the LPG to fit in, Now have a 75 litre LRA tank under drivers side .
Gets 350k/75lt fully loaded and towing on petrol.
Gets 350k/95lt fully loaded and towing on gas.
Best ever was 400k/tank LPG unloaded.

My 4.2 SWB GQ in my opinion is tuned to the max. Ive even done a digital multi spark ignition conversion on it. And I would be very lucky to get 350ks/90lt of LPG highway driving.
