hi guys i am thinking about getting a suzuki sierra ute and making it powerfull and low, i was wondering if a 3.8l vn commodore motor would fit in a ute and if it would be to heavy on the front end. I was thinking a 3.8l motor because i have one sitting in the shed that i just finished rebuilding. The ute would be fully engineered, and i would use it as a weekend play toy.
If anyone has any pics please post them up.
Nick

yes in a ute it is easier then a swb but still very cramped under the sierra
Yes it can be done
yes it has been done
yes it works
yes it has plenty of power
yes in some applications it is a good choice
putting that much more weight in it you will have to upgrade the front end
with that much power how long will your drive line last?
It will cost more in time and money to make it work then its worth
On a non comp rig setup it will heavily weigh down the front end
There are plenty of better engines that have better power to weight
Please stick to a G16b.....

Before this gets out of hand - Make sure it stays on tech. Dunnydore engine swap threads tend to fill with carp. Keep it tech okay guys.
