I wanna put a nissan auto behind my already installed holden V8. I know marks do whole kit but i don't want to use a bellhousing spacer.
i want to use a dellow because thats the type of housing I used previously with manual and engine is very far back.
So how is the nissan torque converter coupled to the crank? Which flex plate is used nissan or holden? and is there an adaptor availible when using the dellow housing. If I read it right marks use a manual flywheel and bolt the nissan flex plate to that using and adaptor, is this correct?

Cheers

By Holden V8 do you mean LS1 or 2 series of motor? If so i used the standard ls1 auto bellhousing which unbolts from the transmission and then made a 20mm aluminuim plate to mate the nissan trans.

Once this was done was just a matter of drillign some new holes int he standard holden flex plat to fit the nissan torque converted its better doing it this way then you don't have to worry about adapting or modiflying the starter motor setup etc.

Can probably post some pics if you want

Cheers

Hi mate i've just gotten my convertor modifed for the ford v8 i'm using. They used a ford front coupled to a nissan rear section i just had to take a heap of measurments for them and they made it to suit.
I'm also using the dellow adaptor bellhousing. If you need more info just ask and i'll find the number of the guys i used in sydney.
Cheers Wade
