Hello everybody

I transported my 9" rear diff housing complete with center in a trailer today.
The center didn't had the drive shaft flange on it.
The rope wasn't good fixed to the diff and the pinion shaft hit the side of the trailer.
Now is the pinion shaft loose!?!? I can move the pinion ~20mm in and out.
Do i have to take the center apart and change the bearings or is it Ok to tighten the flange back on?

Thanks for any information!

Christian

You will require a new pinion seal and a new collaspable bush remove the old seal and outer pinion bearing replace the collapsable bush with the new one re install the front bearing, oil slinger and fit the new seal put the flange on and use a new pinion nut about $4 from toyota and tension the nut to the specified torque and all will be good
