i want 2 buy a sierra and make it into a desent off roader can anyone tell me what models r the best 4 off road and what models have the wide track wheelbase

narrow track LWB is what you want

i thought wide track would b better for not rolling as easy. y do u think the narrow track is better is it because they can stay out of other peoples deep wheel ruts ??

The narrow track springs are set further inboard and with that they flex a little more. But most peole pit a set of wt diffs under the nt's.
But honestly it all depends on how far your going to build it up. But I would start with a Lwb if you can. Stay away from the coil spring sierras unless you are wanting to re-invent the wheel.

Swb are just really short for big shoes. Anything over 32 are big for a swb The Lwb is around the 96" mark and the extra wheelbase gives you more options if you chose to go with different diff set ups with not as much work as you would need to do with a swb. You don't have to but a lot of people put lux diffs under sierras and the Lwb just gives you more room to start with.

Most people that do a lot of mods to the swb do them to get more flex and more wheelbase. Starting with a Lwb all you need to do is get more flex.
