2LT slow to build revs

hey guys. had a diesel leak from my injector pump which i sourced to be the govenor cover seal leaking. removed all the top of the injector pump in the car and replaced the seal and its all good. only problem now is that the car has trouble building revs and only really revs to 3500rpm.

is it likely that i havent reset the TPS to the right position? or that the lever that actually strokes the pump isnt set right? (the lever gets pushed by the throttle linkage and sits under the TPS).

apart from that it drives fine and doesnt blow any smoke.

anyone got any ideas?

thanks

matt

I had a very similar problem with mine after I changed the top seal on my pump, it was the linkage alignment on top of the pump that was out, I had to remove the linkage and turn the gear in the pump, as it was not in the correct position for idle.
I hope this makes sense.
when mine was wrong it would not start unless I held it at full throttle, so when watching the pump it just moved a little, probably a different problem.

thanks for the reply mate. yep, thats is what i am going to have to do with mine. when the throttle linkage isnt connected and i move the arm by hand it goes to full revs. so will do the same when i get a chance.
