82 FJ45 Wiper Switch ??'s

Any of you guys know if the 82 model wipers have intermittent? I pull my switch to the first notch and get nothing, second notch slow, last notch fast.. I"m presuming the first notch is supposed to be intermittent but haven't had a chance to pull it out and check the wiring yet..

dont think so bud im pretty sure u only get slow or fast.

Thats what I thought, but what is the first notch for? If it was a 2 speed switch I would have thought it would of had just the 2 positions?

My Hj47 has all 3 Int slow and fast

All 40/42/45/47s post August 1980 should have the intermittent setting for the wipers.

Have a look for a little black box under the dash. Its the wiper control for int.
