Hi All

As a seasoned Nissan owner (haven't owned a 'yota since I sold my LN65 Hilux in 2002), I need some advice on my wife's latest purchase.

She's bought a 1999 100 series GXL with a (4.5L) petrol and auto. It only has 130K kms on it and she got it for a reasonable price when she got sick of the NM Pajero she bought 12mths ago.

Is there any specific mods that NEED to be made? The only thing I was thinking about was a transmission cooler. The other thing it needs is a towbar.

It's primarily for ner runabout, but she'll take it beach drving and camping when we take all the kids (7).

Any suggestions/advice greatly appreciated.

I reckon a set of 305's would go nicely under it! And yes, the std stereo IS crap! My father in law has an 80 and it's steroe has been nothing but drama!

We never had a problem with the transmission getting hot and we towed a 16ft caravan around OZ.
Just make sure the fluid is in good condition.
The auto's have lock up in 3rd gear which helps.

Want to go bigger tyres next time on the cruiser.
What size are the 305's in inches?

Matt
