Building a cage for a dual cab Nissan. Was just wondering if anyone knows if you can make the rear stays inside the cab removable with camburg joiners and still comply to the cage rules. Looked on site but doesn't say anything about being able to remove them

Cheers

The back stays used to have the requirment of being welded. I have seen vehicles knocked back with removable back stays.

In a dual cab I believe you can have the back stays on the rear cage in/on the tray instead of inside the cab. I currently have Dual cab GQ with CCDA cage bu the back stays are welded and fitted inside the rear of the cab, but this means seats cannot be fitted in the rear.

Isn't Lawrie Sternbeck running a clamped in set of back stays on his Hilux? Just I clearly remember something about him removing them for rec use passengers?
