Outer Limits 4x4 Board

my hilux has a dyna box fitted and i cant select reverse. all other gears work and select fine. i thought it might be the linkages or something, but i had a look and it isnt obstructed. so any ideas what the problem could be?

also, if i need a replacement, will a 5 speed from a IFS hilux or a 100 series (i believe they are R151 models) bolt straight in with no mods?

have you recently removed it?

We had this problem with a 626 mazda i swapped motors in for my sister. My father the helpful guy he is changed the reverse switch in the box for me - they had slightly different plugs, so was easier to swap then rewire it. Anyway, he didn't notice he missed the copper washer that goes on it.
Te box behaved perfectly, except no reverse- wasnt even close to going in, made no griding sounds - was a pain to find too!!!!
