Storage boxes

Hi everyone,
Has anyone found a good alternative to a strong storage box for their recovery gear, other than the plastic boxes from ARB?
Don't get me wrong, their cases are great, but are damn pricy for the bigger ones!
The old galvanised trady boxes look a bit too flimsy, and the plastic tubs from Supercheap Auto look too weak as well.
Anyone got a good suggestion/supplier?

it doesn't take a great deal of skill to build a fairly strong box from plywood, screw + glue it together, some gate hinges on the lid and it will be stromg and lockable.
alternatively I used to keep my recovery gear in a few milk crates, they are pretty indestructible but stuff goes everywhere when the truck goes upside down

Got my brother( a sheetmetal guy) to make up a trady style box from 1mm zinc sheet. He put a hat section in the lid to give it some strength. Its had 4 chics standing on it at once and the lid is still perfect. It is big enough to fit all my recovery gear and a fair bit of camping gear. Can't really say how much it is worth cause all the materials were found

But if you knew a sheety it would be reasonably cheap.
