Hey guys,

After some info from those of you who've repaired the viscous couplings on your rockys...

Mine's spinning totally free now, and failed me at the bottom of a hill yesterday. I locked it up with tiewire to get me home, but this won't last forever...

I've spoken to Toyota about some fluid for the hub, and they can supply, and have it in stock - no worries. I've yet to pull the hub and fan off - what can I expect? Will there be a plug? Will I have to split the housings? is there a seal that can be replaced? Will I need to drill and tap a hole?

usually its just a few bolts that that you have to pull off and voila, if you have a rattle gun it does make it alot easier to get the bolts off, and as you said before you can pick up some silicon oil from toyota to refill the viscoud fan. Its also a good idea to buy 2 of them just incase
