Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hi guys my 99 hilux is stuck in 4x4? when i try to put it back in "high 2" nothing happens? i am having to drive round in "high 4"? does anyone know what it could be? cheers

Does it actually shift to Hi2 or can you not move the lever from Hi4...

If it shifts to Hi2 and then goes nowhere...do you have a tailshaft?

yeh mate it feels like its in hi2 but it stays still when i go to take off. it can keep going straight up to low 4 aswell? i dont know if its supposed to do that because on the gear knob you have to go down then left and up? tailshaft is there also. cheers

Have you pulled the cover off the gear sticks to make sure nothing is getting in its way

this makes it sound like your just putting it in netrual

Your saying you can pull it right down to Hi4 but it won't slide left and up into Hi2??

yeh hi4 is below hi2. i can put it in every gear/ range but when it goes into hi2 it just feels like its in neutral, and no i havent taken the cover off, ill have a look this arvo and see whats in there

Yea I'd say pull the cover off and check the lever is in the right position i know mine can fit between the forks and sometimes i accidentally get it in the wrong position and have to pull it out to re-align it.
