Hi all, Im after a bit of feed back on how i would go making a solid pinion spacer for my 80 series front diff.
Question is , Could i just measure the used crush sleeve and then turn up a solid spacer at the used crush sleeve length ?
I have the tools and material at work to do it just need a measurement to go off.
Cheers Gav.

If you do will it work correctly... do the crush type ones come back a little once the pressure has been taken off them....... so if you make a solid the same length, won't it in fact be a little too long..... my 2 bobs worth...

make it about 20-30thou shorter than the crush sleeve
and make yourself some shims too. Then your set.
Each bearing set will be different, hence the crush tube, or solid spacer + shims.
then check your bearing preload, and keep taking off a small amount re-try etc. shims would be easier.

i think the early hilux had solid pinion spacers so you might be able to get one from them.
