Hi All,

After a 4 year hiatus, i am finally getting back into finishing my 1986 Rangie Classic.

I have searched the web for info on brake upgrades, but my www mojo is weak..

I am looking for an upgrade that will bolt on, and i would love to loose the dual lines to the front calipers if possible.

I have heard that defender calipers are an option, but i would like advice on what would be a good complete system.

I was thinking about an S1 Disco Booster/M Cyl/Calipers and rotors, i believe that the D1 pedal box will bolt straight in,???

I would love to hear what people have done and what worked and what didn't work.

Vehicle specs in my Sig

Thanks Damien,

Can you help with more info, there are a lot of different Defender callipers listed on eBay, are there any particular ones i need to look for, year?, D90 or 110 are there vented and solid versions?

Does the D1 booster fit to the RRC firewall and pedal box? Do i need to get a D1 proportioning valve?

I appreciate the help.

Cheers

Steve

order them from Paddocks in the UK, much much cheaper. Front calipers will bolt straight on, rears have different offset i think, not sure about puma ones though. I run a sals in the rear of mine though.

For exact part number on what calipers to use check out the bible thread. KiwiBacon did a write up on swapping to bigger callipers and it got copied into the bible in 2007.
