Help Needed GU Patrol Gearbox

Ive noticed that in the last couple of days my Gu patrol ute crunches a little going into 4th gear but only goin up gears its fine goin down from fifth into 4th no worries at all, also if i double clutch it into 4th no crunch either im thinking that my slave cylinder is on its way out any help is greatly appreciated

Do you know what oil is in there? Make sure it's a GL-4 80w rated oil e.g. VMX80. Incorrect oil e.g. GL-5 75W-90 can cause shift problems.

yea mate im running a valvoline duragear 75w/85 GL-4 spec oil but still having drama's with 4th gear crunching a little but only on up shift not down shift

How long has it been in there? Can take a few thousand kays to work if it had the wrong oil in it before. Also how many kms on the box?

ah the oil has done about 1200kms and the gearbox has done around 175,000kms
