Flat pitman arm or drop

Im just about to do histeer on my 85 4runner.
Specs are boomerang shackles RUF stock front crossmember.

Now im unsure wether I need a flat piman arm or too use the dropped one that came with the kit.
I was hoping to get away without a dropped crossmember.Im trying to keep it on the lower side.
What are you thoughts guys which way would you go?

2wd hilux power steer pitman arm is the way to go.

Yeh mate run the flat and have it turning in as parallel to the chassis as possible with a small gap.

Ive used the drop pitman on mine and sas'ed 4runners ive done.
Why do you guys recommend the flat arm?I think the dropped arm clears the chassis alot better.
I guess it depends on where your steering box is mounted but ive found if using the standard mounting points on 4runners to use the dropped arm

I wish i'd have used a flat pitman arm when we set mine up. I find the flat pitman arm gives better clearance and less chance of getting in the way during up travel....

We aren't using standard monuting points. We change the steering box to one from a IFS model and mount it with the arm as close to the chassis as possible to give the spring maximum clearance.
