4.2td motor into a gu 05 model (new shape) patrol

whats needed to transplant a 4.2td motor into a the newer shape patrols that was a 3.0L , does anyone know does things like engine mounts, gearbox mounts any other alterations need to be made?

All the above and a lot more.
Engine mounts, electrics, gearbox conversion, suspension, exhaust.......

Engine mounts on the chasis gear box is the exact same for 3ltr and 4.2

I beg to differ, and yes it has been covered recently but the 4.2 and 3.0 shifters will be in different positions in relation to the dash....
Maybe one of the search guru's can find a link ????

Gear box has the same part number different adaptor plate

For the shifter ? I was under the impression that nissan changed the internals under the plate as well.....
Could be wrong though...

Yeah not to sure about the shifter man I'm juust going from the max ellerys book and the years from 98 till 2010 that the 3ltr box and 4.2 box has same part no and ratios but yeah

Same gearbox. Different bell housing.
