Just wondering if anyone has dealt with these guys on ebay, I'm looking at getting the Redarc SBI12

just wondering because they claim it weighs 200g and redarc say 300g

Can't help with the supplier, but Redarc will not honour any warranty on items bought off of ebay. Well, that's what the redarc guy said on a 4wd show I was watching a few weeks ago.

Correct redarc will not warrent any Ebay purchased items.

I bought this same model redarc from this very seller about 12 months ago. Arrived the next day all good.

After reading the above posts i thought id message him to see what he had to say about a warranty claim and redarc not offering warranty on their solenoids sold on ebay. This was his response.

Hi , Firstly ALL the Redarc products we sell are genuine , generally made in Adelaide 100% Redarc with serial number , we are an authorised Redarc dealer trading as Bairnsdale Electrics Sales and Service , Ebay is just a forum for selling no different to any other website or a trade show or alike for that matter.Redarc's concern according to their website is the storage and treatment of the product once sold ,to which is no different to any other supplier if the product has been used incorrectly or abused obviously warranty would be voided but we leave this to Redarc or one of their authorised warranty agents ( generally the Redarc distributors ) for determination which again is a standard procedure , we have this matter currently before consumer affairs who are investigating , if you could provide me the name of the person who advised you of this would be of assistance.Moving forward you can purchase with 100% confidence that it will have full manufacturer warranty.Regards Peter.





I think its fair to say warranty will be fine and maybe someone would like to drop a name so the seller can chase it up?

Sorry, my bad, I went and re-read redarc's site, the warranty still applies when sold through one of their authorised agents, even with ebay.
