vitara carby upgrade

Hey guys and girls just recently got a vitara as a daily, beach runner its a 1.6 carby and im wondering what sort of carby upgrade anyone has successfully done ( i know theres a weber upgrade)? as in like a 2l corolla carby of something of the sort? cheers

there is a 32/36 webber. can get this off ebay.
personaly, there is no point unless you do and exhaust as well. you letting your motor breath in but not out.

hey slowsierra ive just been given a 32/36 weber from a mate, bought an adapter plate so up to install stage havin abit of trouble figuring it all out though lol (im not much luck with petrol engines). ive got a 2inch exhaust on it with 1 muffler which is soon to be replaced with a hotdog and a set of genie extractors and supposeably got an oversized cam . if theres anyone ou there that has done a weber upgrade any insatll infor would be sweet?

cheers for that info slowsierra weber is now on and running had to fab up a throttle bracket and fiddle around with afew lines after hydrolockin to engine and filling it full of petrol but its now running well and up to jetting and tune stage so thanks heaps for chasing that link gonna come in really handy

no worries.
just remember that no carby is ever just bolt on. some are just easier than others.
once its sort of stable give the plug test a go.
not written but me
"let it idle 10-15 minutes, stop engine and pull plugs. Black/soot indicates a rich mixture<br>white or light gray indicates a lean mixture ,tan or light brown is good,If you want to tune WOT, then find a big hill. Drive to said hill. At the bottom, stop the engine. Replace the plugs with new ones. Start the car and go up the hill. Find the right gear so that the engine stays arount 5000 RPM at WOT. When you run out of hill, KILL engine and coast to a stop. Do not let the engine run off WOT. Kill it as soon as you let the pedal off the floor(gas off/clutch in/key off all in the same time). Stop the car and check the plugs. "
