Are TJM XGS Shocks any good?

I got a LWB diesel mav with quite a bit of weight. ie. steels roof rack drawers rear bar etc. I've been looking for a 3" kit for it. Initially i was thinking about getting dobinson springs matched up with ome N19L and N29L but I think they may be too long and I would need straps to hold the springs in on full droop. I don't want to go higher than 3" in queensland so a 4" spring is out. I went to many places for advice and eventually found TJM sell a 80mm kit (bit over 3" but i've got a bit of weight) at a good price. I know that you get what you pay for but the salesman seemed to actually have an idea what he was talking about for once. I am on a bit of a budget and can't afford koni's or bilsteins and rancho's suck. Anybody had any experience with TJM stuff? How do they go for a tourer/occasional weekend basher up at Landcruiser park etc.

I have had XGS shocks on a shorty, and now a LWB for 3years, and they were on a mates LWB for a year or two before that. most of the time the vehicles were not fully loaded though. i did a long 17k trip relativly loaded with plenty of long dirt roads and corrugations, and some weekend bashes. I have not had any problems with them. they appear to still be fine.
One issue i think is their length. they are not particularly long, so you might not get much droop out of your suspension with 3 inch coils. they are not much longer than standard shocks from memory. that might not matter to you for touring?? Other shocks to suit patrols(OME etc) might be a little longer. it would be worth measuring each.
I am keeping my XGS shocks on my touring GQ since i have not had a problem.

Thanks for the info snatchy, i'll have to get the length of the tjm ones and compare them with ome and originals then i'll make a decision from there.
